Enter in a place and transform it, create an environment where the audience can interact with the work.
Red strings as roots branch from a central log, they reach other logs and elements in the space creating a network. A piezoelectric microphone inside the central log amplifies all the vibration of the strings. In this way the installation works as a big double bass, the string sound if touched or rubbed.
The string’s network is design in relationship with the space that hosts the installation. When the audience enters the space, I play the strings in a performance that aims to introduce the audience to the oddity of the installation. Then the spectators are free to play the strings, touch and explore the piece.
